So far in 2025, AI continues to dominate, whether it’s headlines, conferences, or conversations our team is having with our portfolio companies, our general contracting partners, and more. Lately, we’ve found these conversations have been focused on the future, whether it’s assessing the natural trajectories of the most strategic applications of AI, or considering the long-term integration of AI-backed tools into critical workflows for our built environment.

It’s no wonder that while assembling this update, we realized that AI dominates our news for the spring. We’re thrilled to share that we’ve added Adaptis, Faura, and Joist AI to the BV portfolio. For all of these companies, AI is foundational to their technology and critical to their mission—optimizing cost-benefit and carbon, incentivizing the natural disaster resilience of buildings, and streamlining revenue operations as well as proposal creation for construction, respectively.

In May, we’re hosting a special BVIN Spring Session on AI in Action: Construction Tech Disruptors for a Better Built World in San Francisco. During the event, our growth-stage contech founders will share their use of AI in product offerings now and going forward before responding to rapid-fire questions from a panel of the industry’s thought leaders.

As you’ll see below, our team will be speaking about AI at a number of events coming up, and our portfolio companies have shared their own takes in podcasts and articles, and even announced new product offerings. There’s also plenty more news, including exciting new executive team hires, product awards, and 76 job openings.

We hope to see you this spring!
