We were introduced to the Building Ventures team by Jim Whalen of Boston Properties. Jim told me that Jesse and Travis were particularly astute investors in the built world and that I should get to know them. Over the next several months, we had a number of both face to face and remote meetings. What impressed me most was their quick grasp of the Join business model and their application of it to other use cases. While they were getting to know us better, they were helping us understand we had other large market opportunities. Once they Joined, they proved that their knowledge of the market and participants was not from business school classes, but from a deep understanding of the business coupled with impressively deep relationships with prospective customers and partners. In every interaction it is clear that the BV team has committed to our success and to making a strong contribution to achieve it.
