As a partner at Building Ventures, Heather serves on the Investment Committee and spearheads the firm’s investment activities within the real estate tech (i.e., proptech) sector with a particular focus on sustainability of the built environment. In addition to her investment activities, she advises portfolio companies leveraging her two decades of experience in developing and bringing tech products to market. Heather manages the firm’s involvement at the board level with Adaptis, Faura, Work&, and Elephant Energy. She also works closely with the founding teams at Aeroseal, Canoa, Dandelion, Join Digital, Measurabl, and UpCodes.

Before joining Building Ventures, Heather led the product, customer, and brand marketing functions at SaaS startup WordStream (acquired by Gannett in 2018). Prior to WordStream, she held product management and marketing leadership positions at Boston startup ownerIQ (acquired by Inmar) and Fortune 50 Express Scripts (acquired by Cigna).

Heather is involved in the building tech community through organizations including CREtech, CRETI, ULI Technology Council,  and the Building Intelligence Group. She is also active in the broader venture and startup ecosystem as a member of All Raise, where she co-chairs the Membership and Fundraising Committees; as a volunteer and mentor at organizations including MIT designX and MassChallenge; and in connection with her almae matres Boston College, where she received her BA, and Washington University in St. Louis, where she received her MBA. Heather works and resides in Boston.
